Welcome to

ABOUT DC SOCIAL HIKES
DC Social Hikes was created by Maria Stangheriln and Lauren Devine with the belief that movement is medicine and that every kid can benefit from nature and friendship!

Maria and Lauren are experienced professionals who bring decades of experience working with a wide range of kids and young adults. You can learn more about them here.

Hikes are geared at neurodiverse kids and address skills like problem solving, regulating emotions, conversation skills, and identifying social cues.
SESSION DATES & TIMES:
April Hikes: 7, 14, 21, 28
May Hikes: 5, 12, 19, No hike 26
June Hikes: 2, 9, 16, 23, 30
NEW: Hikes for ages 3-5 - 10:30-11:30AM
Hikes for ages 8-21 - 12:00-1:00PM
Hikes take place on Sundays in Rock Creek Park (Picnic Area #18). The goal of hikes is to have fun in nature, make friends, and learn some skills along the way!
